Overview

When night turns into day
When the leaves change colour
Seconds – minutes – hours – days
One day this will be then
And when will be now
How do you spend yours?

Notes on the Process

Time is everywhere, brilliant topic! So much to say. I feel time is running away with me! It was uplifting to hear from Glass emails. Their questions gave me something to think about. It kept me company and occupied during a lonely lockdown. PYT Member

It was something different to do during lockdown. Polmont Youth Theatre kept in touch with Email a Prisoner so it was nice to be listened to and share my ideas. I love being creative. I had no idea how amazing it would turn out. We all made it during lockdown and it was all separate so all of it had to get put together and it was a challenge, felt like there was many barriers. It’s nerve wracking to share your thoughts with others. PYT Member

I enjoy being apart of Polmont Youth Theatre. It was a chance to be creative during lockdown, it also helped me cope with my own struggles. I wanted to be apart of something. It was nice to talk when no one else was around. Being creative helps me open up and express myself, learn about who I am and respect my own choices. It helps me deal with my own mental health battles and is an escape. PYT Member

I wanted to learn something. I’ve never done anything like this before. There wasn’t a lot to do in covid. I didn’t know there was so much I felt about time. I am never part of anything. I can’t believe people want to listen to me. PYT Member

Excerpt from TimePiece written by I

Time. Beautiful but wasted.
Yours to make memories with.
Time…(pause)…to create. To love. To care.
Time to share.
Time to be there.

Moments grasped. Moments wasted.
Take advantage…(pause)…of time.
Tick, tock.
Tick, tock.
24 hours in a day.
Time to play.
Time to pray.
Time to say…(pause)…what you want.
What you need.
What you desire.
Time. Just drips away. A year, a day.
3 years. Sitting here, wondering how.
Time goes forward, never back. Don’t look back. Time is now.
Time to come, plenty gone.
Time – it can heal, it can divide, it can grow.
Too much, too little.

I can’t control time.
It’s ok. Unpredictability is fine.
